Swikly 2023 : The N.1 solution for online bail bonds in France

Summary

Margaux Belhade, Marketing Director of Swikly, deciphers for FinMag the usefulness and uses of the Swikly platform.

What is Swikly exactly?

Swikly is the N.1 solution for online deposits in France. It allows you to protect your rentals and secure your reservations thanks to an online deposit request.

We started from the fact that for all rentals, the deposit is a must. But this "old-fashioned" deposit, check or bank imprint that blocks the customers' ceiling, is a burden, as much for the professional as for the individual.

For the professional:

  • It is an administrative burden, for the manager and his teams.

The time spent on this part is not negligible and has little added value.

In addition, it is not very nice to ask a client for money for a deposit, even though they have not started renting.

  • Legislation on data security is uncompromising and constantly evolving. It is therefore difficult for the professional to adapt to it, especially when you are a small structure.
  • The professional must claim money to the customer, in the case of a deterioration of the rental, for example, which is painful for him. It is also tactically complicated to get it back.

For the individual :

  • The format constraint People are using checkbooks less and less, and when a bank imprint is made, the customer's limit decreases, which has an impact on his purchasing power during his rental period, even more so when the customer is on vacation.
  • The impact on the user experience The taking of a deposit can generate queues at the reception and it adds a process to the rental.

What service do you offer?

We allow to protect the rentals, to secure the reservations, and thanks to an online deposit request, we take care of everything, from the deposit request to the collection, but also of the relationship with the customer, in case of damage.

The deposit is taken before the rental, and the banking limit of the customers is not impacted. It is therefore a benefit for both the professional and the client.

Most of our clients use reservation management software, and we have managed to integrate with the vast majority of them.

It is therefore an automated process, mainly used in white label, so as not to lose the user.

For smaller structures, you can go directly to the Swikly website to make a request.

Our solution greatly simplifies the management of deposits. There are very few alternatives today that can provide an optimal experience without impacting the traveler's cap, automate bond requests and also provide a payment solution.

What types of professionals use Swikly?

All professionals offering rental can use our services:

  • Concierge services.
  • The open air hotel business.
  • Vehicle rental companies
  • Equipment rental companies
  • We also have players in the medical sector.

Our clients use Swikly to protect their rentals, but sometimes also to protect a remaining charge, as in the case of an invoice that has not been fully paid.

Some also use Swikly for no-shows (a customer who does not show up on the day of arrival). Moreover, our solution has a strong psychological impact on the traveler, thus allowing to decrease the rate of damage on these goods.

Swikly is also a payment solution, which allows the professional to use only one platform for all his cash transactions.

Finally, the use of Swikly allows the development of usage savings (rental replacing a purchase) and thus to make consumption modes evolve via a simplified access to consumption which favors more sustainable consumption modes.

How many users do you have today?

We have 11,000 users, with over 1 million transactions completed since our inception in 2016, and 400 million Euros secured.

What do you hope for the future?

We are constantly growing, and we are trying to expand our business verticals, particularly in the medical sector; and then the bonding affects France, but also other countries in Europe and in the world, and so we are expanding into new countries.
